STREET MUSIC

ENGLISH

Afrobeat Music Experience Feat. Gwen Thomas.
From African churches comes Gwen Thomas, singer awarded the AFIRMA for Best Jazz Artist in Africa. His African rhythms blend with jazz, funk, and gospel in charming melodies. For this concert, he has prepared ad hoc pieces by Fela Kuti, Ebo Taylor, Tony Allen, or Stevie Wonder, with whom Gwen was lucky enough to share the stage.

VERMUTS MUSICALS BY MORITZ
Ana Brenes
Ana Brenes, flamenco singer and composer from Santa Coloma de Gramanet, is one of the most frequent artists on the Catalan flamenco scene. She was born into a flamenco family. She has been singing for as long as she can remember, taking her greatest references from her parents: her mother, a flamenco singer from Extremadura, and her father, a flamenco enthusiast from Utrera. She studied at ESMUC, and in 2019 she was named Flamenca of the Year by the flamenco associations of Catalonia.

DJ SESSIONS - The Voodoo Club
The Voodoo Club has become the reference space for the most current African music, based at Sala Upload in Barcelona, but also traveling regularly to Madrid and across Europe, bringing to Barcelona the best of the African scene and its diaspora. Their hyperactivity allows them to be a record label, artist agency, audiovisual production… an oasis of creation and business when it comes to African music.
